Clackamas Whitewater Festival

May 16th and 17th were the days for the festival this year. I had been waiting for months to go and headed up right after getting off work Saturday morning.

Managed to talk to Sotar about a cat, which made my day. I spent most of the day on the river side as I didn't want to miss a single shot. It was an absolute blast. Paddle races, hard shell mass start, duckie mass start, cataraft volleyball and of course the kayak ramp. Damn exciting.

Enjoy the photos!

Hard shell mass start race
Cataraft volleyball!

Sweepboat
The guy in front stayed on his feet the whole way down.
A few people ended up swimming, but Venture Crew 86 from Next Adventure, was on hand to sort folks out.
The driftboats all had a good time.
Big air off the hard shell ramp!

Inflatable kayak mass start race.

More big air. You can actually see the ramp they shot off of.
